The
welcoming city
Between 27th August and 1st September 2000 Rome's Palazzo
dei Congressi hosted the 18th International Congress
of the Transplantation Society, Italy's biggest congress
event of last year. The author of the congress was the specialist
PCO Triumph P.R., and the congress was attended by
9,000 people in total, including Pope John Paul II. The
week of intense work was punctuated by social events organised
by Triumph at some of Rome's most beautiful locations including
Piazza Navona and the Colosseum. On the programme were a
concert by the tenor Andrea Bocelli, a fashion show by Gattinoni
and a ballet with prima ballerina Carla Fracci. Many of
these "peripheral" events were featured in the national
and international media.
