A
golden opportunity
Arezzo is known all over the world for the skill of its
goldsmiths, making the town the ideal venue for Oro Arezzo,
the international goldsmiths' exhibition, which will be
held at the Centro Affari e Convegni from 31st March to
3rd April 2001.

On display will be not only the latest in gold, silver and
jewellery trends, but also whole sections dedicated to precious
stones, corals, cameos and their production. Another area
will be dedicated to the machinery, equipment and accessories
used in the industry.

From 24th March to 1st April 2001 the Levante trade fair district
in sunny Bari will be hosting its spring fair dedicated to leisure,
tourism and crafts. The exhibition is divided into a number
of themed sections, one of the most intersting of which is Exporegalo,
devoted to the art of gifts and other hand-crafted goods. A
guided route entices the visitor into discovering the secrets
of traditional processes, and displays hundreds of original
present ideas which are also ideal for corporate gifts.

tasteful encounter
Biteg, the gastronomic tourism exhibition, is dedicated
entirely to the culinary specialities and oldest traditions
of regional cuisine, mainly in Italy but also including
Europe. More than 400 specialist exhibitors will be providing
an endless supply of mouth-watering delicacies of all types,
as well as highlighting traditional production methods and
promoting tours aimed specifically at discovering the vast
range of foods and flavours for which Italy is famous. Tasting
is naturally included. Catch the fair from 11th to 13th
May 2001 at the Palafiere in Riva del Garda, overlooking
Lake Garda.

Design on show
Milan's Salone Internazionale del Mobile, which this year
will be held from 4th to 9th April 2001, is recognised internationally
as the biggest exhibition of Italian design, and

appreciated
all over the world for the fresh originality of its creations.
All the biggest Italian and foreign names will be present
at the fair, displaying new and creative ideas for the latest
in interior design. The Salone will also include the lighting
fair Euroluce.
