Herman Leonard Images of Jazz

Black and White Photographs

Millions of Americans have been looking at the photographs of Herman Leonard for few weeks. More than 50 of his images including jazz greats Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and Charlie Parker have been on the Ken Burns Jazz program on National Public Television. Ken Burns said, “Herman Leonard is not only the Pantheon of Jazz photpgraphers, he is one of the best photographers period”.
