The Maniero Cultural Association was founded in Rome, at 155 via di Ripetta, in 1993, and was later transferred to 29 via dell’Arancio by the current President, Liliana Maniero, who entered the contemporary art scene around 1975, working together with Pio Monti and some of the major artists of those years, such as Gino De Dominicis, Emilio Prini, Vettor Pisani, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Giulio Paolini, Joseph Kosuth, Alighiero Boetti, Mario Schifano, and later Salvo, Luigi Ontani, Nicola De Maria, Enzo Cucchi, and also Bruno Ceccobelli, Ubaldo Bartolini, Stefano Di Stasio, Tommaso Lisanti. Ever since its birth, the gallery was dedicated to the figurative arts, or better to painting, with its opening group exhibition to which Ubaldo Bartolini, Paola Gandolfi, Stefano Di Stasio, Tommaso Lisanti, Luigi Ontani, Franco Piruca, G. Salvatori and Salvo were invited. The gallery has always been particularly attentive to the youngest artists and, among these, the solo exhibitions of Yuri Rodkin, Sabina Mirri, Michele Carone, Ascanio Renda, Christian Macketanz, David Fagioli, Stefania Fabrizi, Francesca Tulli, Simone Racheli, Max Rohr, Teresa Iaria, Bruno Benuzzi, Hannu Palosuo, Salvatore Pulvirenti, Mariano Rossano, Karin Andersen, Aurelio Bulzatti, Salvatore Marrone, Aldo Damioli, Dirk Larsen, Orsina Sforza and Ennio Alfani. For the most part, the gallery follows those artists of whom solo exhibitions were organized, promoting them in other locations, both public and private.
