Galerie Franck + Schulte was established in 1991 by is current director, Thomas Schulte and Geneva gallerist Eric Franck. The gallery was the first major newcomer to the reawakening art scene of the reunited German capital. It set out to become one of the Germany’s leading international galleries and received highest critical acclaim from it’s very start. Galerie Franck + Schulte partecipates in the major art fairs, including Basel, Chicago and Berlin. It’s program of represented artists centers around conceptual art and focuses on the contemporary scene since 1960. Among the best known positions of the Gallery are : Rebecca Horn, Richard Artschwanger, Gordon Matta-Clark, Sol LeWitt, Robert Mapplethorpe, Katharina Sievirding, Pat Steir and Allan McCollum. More recent are Spanish painter Juan Uslè, the widely shown concepyualist Hermann Pitz, the American photographer Thomas Joshua Cooper and young artists from Berlin like Johannes Kahrs.
