The Lawrence Rubin Gallery opened in Milan 1998, with an exhibition of new works by Robert Rauschenberg, as a space dedicated to the exhibition and sale of contemporary art. For more than 40 years Lawrence Rubin has been an internationally renowned dealer of artists such as Mark Rotkho, Franz Kline, Kenneth Noland and Frank Stella. Among the artists of the gallery, beside the ones already mentioned, Howard Hodgkin, Richard Diebenkorn, Roy Lichtenstein, Eric Fischl, Jennifer Bartlett, Donald Sultan and Andy Warhol. The gallery in also interested in the work of young Italian artists and represents Giovanni Frangi, Jonathan Guaitamacchi, Bahk Seon Ghi. In 1999 Lawrence Rubin, in partnership with Greenberg Van Doren, has opened a gallery in New York: exhibitions has been dedicated to Richard Diebenkorn, Sam Francis, Fausto Melotti, Roy Lichtenstein, Max Ernst and Jennifer Barlett. Attention for young artists is documented by the show Another Girl, Another Planet in which, among others, Malerie Marver, Katy Grannan exhibited their work.
