No Code opened up in January 1998 in Bologna from an idea of Rizziero Di Sabatino and Lucio Dalla. The spaces that house the gallery have been well known for a long time, especially to music enthusiasts, since it housed for many years the recording studios of Fonoprint, where the majority of the Italian music of the last twenty years was created: from Lucio Dalla to Vasco Rossi, from Gianni Morandi to Pooh. Since its foundation, No Code has dealt with contemporary artists, both very young and well known. The space is made up of three different areas, dedicated to three different types of proposals: - The main Gallery, about 200 square metres, where great exhibitions of both well-known and young artists are set up; - The Project Room, about 40 square metres, where usually projects, purposely implemented by young emerging artists, are exhibited; - The first floor, about 40 square metres, where exhibitions of great artists of the early XX century are set up. Since 1997, No Code takes part to the main Italian and foreign contemporary art exhibitions and co-operates with important public institutions and Museums.
