Stefano Contini, Tuscan by birth (he was born in Pistoia in 1950) and Venetian by adoption, is the present owner of the art galleries that bear his name. After completing his technical studies in 1969, he immediately dedicated to the world of art, first in the field of specialized publications and then with the gallery activity. Until 1979, he was responsible for Rizzoli Publisher and Rizzoli-Finarte in Veneto, and in that year he opened his first art gallery in Mestre. Today, Contini’s art galleries are three (Mestre, Venezia, Cortina d'Ampezzo), all outstanding in the national and international scene as a point of reference for the market of the most prestigious names of modern and contemporary painting and sculpture. Stefano Contini takes part in the most important fairs in Italy and abroad, and actively organizes significant exhibitions.
