B&D Contemporanea was founded in 1997, result of Tomaso Renoldi Bracco, who has
immediately given to it a strong identity. It is a gallery that works with that reduced part of contemporary art that operates following an accurate research in the formal setting, expressed by means of new media and new materials, in other words electronics, video, installations, sculptures, assemblages, light-boxes. The gallery has recently moved into a new exhibition area of about 500 square metres, from which multiple-functional exhibition rooms develop. In its spaces, there will be room for a book-shop-library, where it is possible to purchase or check catalogues and art magazines and a bar-cafeteria, where it is
possible to stop and read everyday of the week, besides the standard closing hour of galleries. The area, which will take on the aspect of a multicultural place, will also be employed for presentations and music shows, for events, relating to design, fashion and to the most different forms of artistic expression.
