The Luckman Gallery is a 4,000 square foot exhibition space which features anywhere from eight to ten renowned and up to twenty emerging visual artists in a season of approximately six exhibitions per year. Exhibitions represent mostly contemporary artists from diverse cultural backgrounds representing local, national and international art communities. Exhibitions have received approving reviews in several newspaper and magazines on both the local and national levels, including the Los Angeles Times, Art Issues, Art/Text, Art in America, Artweek, Frieze, and Tema Celeste, among many others. Since 1989 the Luckman Gallery has originated three nationally travelling exhibitions: Post Millennial Fizzy: Considering the Possibility of the Future; The Big G Stands for Godness: Corita Kent’s 1960s Pop; and Jessica Bronson: Panamint Tilt.
