Founded in 1994, Kim Foster Gallery specializes in painting, sculpture and photography by contemporary artists. Though the gallery has no commitment to specific ideologies or styles, it is dedicated to showing work of exceptional quality that cuts across a broad spectrum of techniques. Artist affiliated with the gallery have already demonstrated a high level of professionalism, and many are represented in major museum collections.
OTHER INFORMATION: - Kwang-Young Chun will have a solo exhibition at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul, Korea, opens June 2001 “Artist of the Year award”. His work will also be included in the group show “Compelled” opening at the Hunterdon Museum in September 2001. - Diane Samuels will have a solo exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, opens September 2001. Her work will also be included in a group show at the Pittsburgh Center of Contemporary Art, opens September 2001. A 9-page article on Diane Samuels appears in the June issue of Sculpture. - Jim Toia will have a solo exhibition at the Hunterdon Museum in New Jersey in April 2002. - Antonio Petracca will be included in a three-person exhibition for the re-opening of the Albany Institute of History & Art in Albany, opens January 2002. His work was recently acquired by the New York Historical Society and Museum of the City of New York. - Susan Wide’s work is currently on view at the Municipal Art Society. Her recent photographs have been acquired by the Museum of the City of New York and the International Centre of Photography in New York.
