A value of $ 120 million (€ 129.8 million) has been quoted as the insurance cover for 100 works lent by Italy for an exhibition running at the Tokyo Contemporary Art Museum. Following the terrorist tragedy in the US, the paintings to be shown in the exhibition of Italian art of the 20th century include Modigliani’s Large Nude, Pellizza da Volpedo’s Rising Sun and Burri’s Cretto. The works have been insured against all acts of war and terrorism. The show opened on the 21st of September and will continue until the 12th of December. (Annalisa Rossi)
