The French artist Niki de Saint-Phalle (born in 1930, Paris) has donated 175 pieces of her work, with an estimated value of $ 15,000,000 (€ 16,500,000) to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice. The new collection which includes 63 paintings and sculptures, 18 etchings, 40 lithographs and 54 serigraphs, will be open to the public from Summer 2002. In the past Niki de Saint-Phalle donated a selection of her work to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Hannover. (Annalisa Rossi)
