The Royal College of Art in London began its 8th annual “RCA Secret” show on the 21st of November sponsored by bowieart.com, featuring hundreds of original contemporary art postcards priced at $ 50 (€ 56) each. Reproduced works in postcard format include RB Kitaj, Billy Childish and Julian Opie as well as fashion designers Zandra Rhodes, Miuccia Prada and Manolo Blahnik. Last year over 800 artists, designers and celebrities donated over 1,500 postcards in a variety of mediums and past participants include David Hockney, Tracey Emin, Chris Ofili and Frank Auerbach. The majority of the postcards are by recent graduates of the Royal College of Art and since 1994 these sales have raised $ 640,000 (€ 725,950) for student funds. (Andrew Moore)
