From the 22nd of December, the fifteen Parisian municipal museums can be visited with free admission. The decision was taken by Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe in order to promote museum attendance, which last year was down to 154.000 people, even though this will cause a loss to the cash funds of the municipality of Paris of about L.1.2 billion (€ 619,750, $ 556,000). Free admission will not be applied to the temporary exhibitions staged in the museums included in the scheme, which features the Musée d’Art Moderne and the Petit Palais. (Annalisa Rossi)
