A 14th century triptych entitled Madonna and Child among Saints attributed to the circle of Agnolo Gaddi (1369-1396) has gone missing during the Florence Biennial held at Palazzo Corsini, an Old Master paintings fair which closes on the 7th of October. The work, a small altarpiece measuring 60 x 70 cm is valued at around $ 90,000 (€ 98,100). It is likely that the gallery, from Arezzo in Tuscany, who exhibited the work will receive only partial compensation as the painting’s insurance cover was approximately half its presumed value.
